4th of July in Cape May

4th of July is always a special time in Cape May filled with tradition and patriotic fun! Below you will see a list of options for parades, fireworks and other great ways to spend your time. We hope that you enjoy all that Cape May has to offer!

4th of July Parades in Cape May

Kick the week with the Historic Cold Spring Village's annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, June 30th and July 1st, from 10am - 4:30pm with a variety of patriotic family activities, programs and music will be taking place and the Village's restored historic buildings will be open, featuring demonstrations of Early American trades and crafts.

The annual Cape May 4th of July Parade begins at 1pm on Sunday and will be on Beach Ave.

Cape May Fireworks

Enjoy the Fireworks on July 3rd or 4th on the Cape May sea front!

The Cape May Whale Watcher will leave the dock at 7pm both nights. The trip includes pizza and hot dogs, dolphin watching, (hopefully) the sunset, and – of course – the fireworks display! $40 for adults and $25 for children 4 & up.

North Cape May Independence Day Festival and Fireworks on July 3rd

This festival begins at 5pm along the bay front in North Cape May, from Lincoln Blvd. to Emerson Ave. The fireworks begin around 9pm. We’d recommend arriving before it gets too dark so you can check out the food vendors and kids’ rides! Bring a blanket or towel for the beach.

Enjoy Dinner followed by Fireworks at the Cape May Lighthouse on July 4th

Participants will be transported by trolley from the Washington Street Mall Information Booth to the Red Store in Cape May Point for a delicious, seasonal, five-course dinner prepared by Chef Lucas Manteca. After dinner, hop back on board the trolley for a short ride to Cape May Lighthouse, where you will climb to the top to watch the fireworks from the watch gallery. Reservations are necessary and limited to 12 people each night. The dinner and firework show is $100 per person.
